How to Witness for Christ
A Christian cannot be true to his Lord and remain silent about Him. We are dishonest with our friends if we withhold from them the best news in the world. Our Lord definitely commanded every believer to be disciples. He said, "You shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8). The greatest work, and the work that pays the largest rewards, is to encourage others to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Try to speak naturally and cheerfully every day to someone about Jesus Christ and your church. By your enthusiastic and dedicated Christian life, endeavor to witness to those around you. Invite your friends to go with you to church. Talk to them about spiritual matters, always mentioning how your faith in Christ helps you. The best way to win others to Christ is to begin immediately by thinking of a friend who is not a Christian and work and pray for their conversion.

Your witness does not start or end with you physically speaking with someone about Jesus. You must be a living example as well.  But even beyond that, we are commissioned by God to:

  • WIN - Help people come into a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • CONSOLIDATE - Connect with and support new believers so they become solid in their commitment.

  • DISCIPLE - Train believers to walk as disciplined followers of Jesus.

  • SEND - Release disciples to lead and impact others.

“It is my good pleasure to introduce to some and present to others, the wisdom, the logic and the insight of two very fine people who not only married but also married each other’s children and then taught the children to be coupled with each other.”
